Sweet Sixteen Parties have become increasingly more and more fabulous, and last fall we were asked to cater one doozy of a party for a really fun girl! Like many of us, Kayla loves the movie “Frozen” so a Frozen Winter Wonderland party was definitely going to be fun!
Guests were welcomed into NEO on Locust with a red carpet entrance, complete with falling crystals from the ceiling and a giant snow covered sled. There were Frozen themed “mocktails”, a slow-motion photo booth, a Fish Eye photo booth, an ice sculpture, and a sweets area that rivaled Willy Wonka’s Factory.
For the menu, we wanted to make it fun and kid friendly, so we created 3 fun food stations for K and her friends and family to dive into.
Mac & Cheese Bar
Housemade Macaroni and Cheese with a Selection of Toppings: Fried Buffalo Chicken, Crumbled Bacon, Chopped Vegetables, Shredded Cheeses, Salsa and other Yums!
Burger & Comfort Bar
Miniature Bacon Cheeseburgers with all the toppings, Miniature Chicken and Waffles with Maple Bacon Butter, Freshly Made Sweet Potato Chips and French Fries, and a Salad to get the greens!
S’mores. Fancy Marshmallows and Cocoa Bar
Housemade Fresh Marshmallows (some dipped in Sprinkles, Nuts, and Candy!) alongside Hot Cocoa with every candy and topping you could imagine!
But the most exciting part of the night was when K was surprised with an incredible concert by Big Sean! All the guests were losing their minds with excitement! We would all agree this was a Super Sweet Sixteen!
